Thank you for your interest in Appleton Public Library’s Artist-in-Residence program. 2019 has been booked, so submissions are currently closed. You can receive updates or information about the program by providing your email address.

We serve as the center of community life by providing the space and programming where citizens can learn, know, gather and grow. Our Artist-in-Residence program celebrates the work of local artists and welcomes community members of all ages to experience the arts through engaging opportunities.

Funded by the Friends of the Appleton Public Library, residencies last for 3 months.* As a part of their residency, artists will:

  • Exhibit their work at the library
  • Offer a demonstration of their work at the library
  • Lead two hands-on workshops open to the public and tailored to certain age groups as needed.

If you have a new idea that you want to try, let us know. We enjoy hearing new ideas. Please email Melanie Thurber ( with questions about the Artist-in-Residence program or the application process. We look forward to hearing from you!

If the form does not appear below, submissions for the upcoming year have closed.

*The Artist-in-Residence Program is subject to change based on available funding.
